lyrics
I have this dream of vast untouched lands, seeing the sun rise over the hills, yet the only thing I feel are the cold and wet stone walls. I haven't eaten for days, barely slept. I have this dream of freedom, but when I open my eyes I see the world burning and how the people cherish thee who set the world ablaze. I hear his voice inside my head, my soul; Feel the cross burning inside my body, my soul. And when I open my eyes I only see bizarre faces of hate, and their cross. They want me to share their same untruth, in the name of thy god, but I won't retreat, I won't give in. Verse for verse they try to carve into my consciousness. I can't feel any more. I forgot the warm feeling of coming home. I forgot the taste of love. I shall obey thy god but I refuse to bow to the king of hatred and suffering. With the black crown of despair, I see him looking down on me. If this is what their heaven looks like, I voluntarily fall to hell. And whilst I fall I hear their songs. Building bridges is what they praise, bridges build on the back of sorrow; I tear them down.
My mouth became dry and I can hardly breath. I don't know what still keeps me in this life, but I do know that at the end of my path through this cruel world there will be nothing. Everything I wanted was to be self-determined, no religion, no constraints, enjoy life to its fullest and not to endure it as a way to a promised paradise. No, I didn't want my mind to be shackled to beliefs, yet I wasn't offered any choice.
I see him smile disdainful on me; Hear them cheer.
I lost my faith in humanity, I lost my hopes, I have no dreams.
